Card Candy-Travel/Vacation

This is the card candy I made for my first ever Card Candy Swap on SCS. I really wanted to use the cute luggage stamp from Unity! So, I chose the category: Vacation/Travel. It was so much fun to make I think I'm going to sign up for another spot!! All of the stamps are from Unity. Paper is Papertrey Ink and the DSP was something I had on-hand(?). I made the buttons from a tutorial on SCS. New Technique.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

This is the card I made for the Simon Says Stamp challenge. I used a Whiff of Joy image from the fall collection. "Willow Throwing Leaves" I used for the background a Hero Arts Stamp "Scattered Leaf Border" and PTI DP for the lower right section. I stamped the leaf border again and cut out individual leaves and then embossed them. The darker jeweled leaf is from Me and My Big Ideas and the flower is a Prima.

September Already!

I can't believe the way time flies. I've been very busy with image swaps, Pay It Forward (PIF) and Random Acts of Kindness(RAK) over at SCS. I'll post some of those cards later as I want the recipient to see them first. Also joined the Divine Secret Sisters group and was just assigned my Little Secret Sister and heard from my Big Secret Sister. I'm so excited! It's great fun to get to know someone this way and still keep it a secret. I get the most joy out of sharing - I always have. My family used to kid that I'd give away the clothes off my back. Almost True! LOL. You should join us over at SCS (Splitcoaststampers) There's so much fun to be had, lots of boards, not all just stamping and the "Head Honchos" over there are great! I got to meet them all in person in Orlando.
Blessings to you all!

Sugar Neliie Challenge 18

Hip Hop Hangover 8/28/09

This is one I made for the Unity Stamp Blog Hop tomorrow night. Everyone was asked to use a tree stamp from Unity. It was really hard to choose because I have several and I LOVE Unity Stamps!! I liked the sentiment as well because it could be used for so many things. We really are ALL Family in many different ways, don't you think? The DP is from Me and My Big Ideas and the flowers I made from felt backs and the centers are from the Vintage Cream button set from Papertey Ink. I used Copics to color my tree and I cut the scallops with my Cricut. After the blog hop I will probably send this one out as a RAK as well.

This is another card I made to send out for the RAK group on SCS as well, I used Papertrey Ink's stamp "Everyday Button Bits" I love the little hot air ballons and the sentiment. Again on the stamping I used the new stampin up inks my friend Megan sent and sponged the blue sky around the ballons and stamped two different shades of green for the land below. I don't use much purple but today I "felt" purple and used Papertrey Ink cardstock and some DP I had on hand. I believe the ribbon is Papertrey Ink as well.

This is one of the RAK cards I made. On this one I used Sugar Nellie Stamp Windswept, some DP I had on hand, the light blue embossed with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder(my favorite). I made the tag to hold the sentiment by dabbing on red with a sponge then stamping over that with some flourishes in red. This is Stampin-Up ink that my friend, Megan sent me. On the top border I also used the Stampin Up border punch that Megan sent as well. The Sugar Nellie is colored with Copics. The sentiment is fro Papertrey Ink.I hope it will bring someone a smile or encouragement.

Hump Day

I got a couple of RAK cards finished to send out today. Will post pics tomorrow. Did these while playing with the little one. I gave him some boo-boo stamps to color. He liked the Popcorn Bear Fishing. If I'd had any tractors he would have liked it even better! He's tractor crazy!

Early Tuesday

Up early today!(4:00 am) which is good because I was running late yesterday to pick up the grandkids to taxi them to school and bring the little one home with me for the day. Today I have images to stamp for swaps and the 2yr old, so I doubt I'll have time for much creating.
I hurt my back yesterday with a most unpleasant job. My poor baby dog got sick (diahrea) from BBQ the boys gave her Sunday that hubby had cooked overnight on the grill. It was just too much for her. She must not have been able to wake me, so she went to the guestroom, poor thing. Anyway after the cleaning on hands and knees I ran the carpet shampooer and now my back is ruined for the day.
Oh well, I'm sure it'll work itself out by the end of the day.
Have a blessed day!

Memo Board for Daughter

I did manage to whip up this little memo board for my daughter's office today. The paper I won at CHA Craftshow is from Quick Quotes called "Faitytale",ribbon is from PTI and the stamped image on the cork portion is a background stamp from Unity. I cut out the background for notes with Nestibilities(they're embossed) I'm not sure you can tell, and cut the letters with my cricut. I think she'll like it!

Well we watched G Force(his choice) and it was pretty cute. I need to work on various challenges but if I do get the time it will be late afternoon. I've got to complete the Church Bulletin first, then work on some menus for our New Monthly Menu for Family Night Suppers. Then sadly we are visiting a friend who's husband passed away at the funeral home tonight.
Anyway it's a georgeous day, I'm glad to be alive and well and I hope everyone has a Blessed day!

Sugar Nellie Challenge-17

This is my card for the Sugar Nellie challenge over at the Sugar Bowl. I used Judy's sketch and we were to add handmade flowers. I made mine using punches and nestibilities and some brads I had on hand. I used my Sugar Nellie stamp"Purrfect Playmates" , I colored her with copics and then added a bit of glitter pen in spots.
